sites in equatorial regions

The EU Malaria Fund portfolio companies expect to spend about 50% of their potential funds through a network of 32 reputable partners in endemic areas in equatorial regions, whereas most of them are involved in trials on several clinical candidates.

The source map with additional information on the selected partners and their sites can be found here.  Red marks indicate research, development and production facilities in Malaria, green marks point to partner sites active in anticipated secondary exploitations.

clinical trials

Running clinical trials provides challenges even in the most developed countries of the world. In regions endemic with Malaria, whenever possible, the Fund therefore cooperates with the benchmark partnership build through the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP).

EDCTP is a partnership between the European Union (EU), Norway, Switzerland and all sub-Saharan countries to enable clinical trials and the development of new medicines and vaccines against malaria and other deadly diseases.
