Mala-Eyes
Magnetrap is a Belgium-based company, founded in 2017 by a team of scientists, engineers, business experts and awareness professionals. They are convinced that bringing together all these competences from different horizons is the only way to generate a sustainable decrease of tropical diseases leading to their elimination.
Magnetrap is developing the Mala-Eyes for the detection of Hemozoin as well as a smartphone-based microscopy with Artificial intelligence technology. The Mala-Eyes is the only non-invasive detection device usable in the most remote areas and capable to detect asymptomatic carriers.
With the support of the EUMF, Magnetrap can take Mala-Eyes to the next stage by testing the feasibility of the product.
